Easy Mop technical Specification

A close up of both sides of the EasyMop.

Note the micro-fibre fabric and extra wide cleaning area. We estimate the effective cleaning “footprint” is at least 200 mm.

It is said that micro-fibre will remove 99.9% of bacteria, without harsh cleaning chemicals.

Micro-fibre is less than one denier, i.e., 9000 metres of filament weighs one gram. (Wikipedia)

The inner micro-fibre strands are shorter than the outer strands. There are 600 of them. Cleaning pressure is directed through the inner strands directly to the surface being cleaned.

Note just how densely the strands are packed on the surface. The total strand length per mop head is 54 metres!

Micro fibre can hold up to 7 times its weight in water.

The EasyMop bucket is sturdily made from engineering grade themoplastics. With the handle it weighs just over 2 kilos.

Please note that the EasyMop model shown on these pages may vary in some details and colours form our current stock If this is a concern please drop us an email and we can address your issues.

Nominal diameter of strand 4 mm
Nominal length of strand 125 mm
nominal length short strand 55 mm

1 x 15 mm compressed three strands. So 15 sq mm for three, therefore 5 sq mm per strand.

I have no idea how many micro-fibres make up a strand and I have no intention of counting them either. This is quite sad enough!

So 300 x 125 =37500
Plus 300 x 55 = 16500
Total = 54000 mm

That's 54 metres of 'strand' per mop head.

At 5 sq mm of micro fibre per strand times 54000 mm of length gives a square area of 270,000 sq mm per mop head. That is 270 square metres of 'fabric' on each mop head and available for cleaning surfaces.

A sweet spot of aprox 200 mm yields a surface cleaning area of aprox 630 sq mm
